The family of a woman murdered at her Finch and Warden dry-cleaning business spoke out on Friday, the same day police said a still-missing person of interest was now a suspect.

Li-Yuan (Rose) Liu, 61, was stabbed to death at Top A Cleaners on May 10.

“My wife Rose and I have four strong children,” her widow Michael Liu said.

“She was murdered in her very store by a heartless coward. The particular day of May 10 was our 35th anniversary. Instead of a celebration, our life turned completely upside down. She was murdered by a person who was less than human.”

A plaza employee discovered her body in the bathroom.

Toronto Police have released a still from a nearby surveillance camera that shows a woman caught walking past a laundromat in the plaza around the time Liu was found. That woman is believed to be a suspect.

Police noted that the woman may have gone to the hospital with a “sharp-edged wound,” and are asking any doctors or nurses to come forward.

Anyone with information or who can identify the woman is asked to contact police at 416-808-7400, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), online at www.222tips.com, or text TOR and your message to CRIMES (274637).
